For: Students in 7th-12th Grade

Talented young scientists who have excelled during the local, regional, and final statewide competitions are rewarded at the annual state meeting of the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) held at Penn State.

The Pennsylvania Space Grant Consortium provides supplemental awards to first place winners in 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th grade. In 2003, we provided Team Encounter kits to both the winners and their teachers. The awards encourage students interested in science and engineering and increase the visibility of the Pennsylvania Space Grant Consortium and NASA.
